Necro and Ranger like most people say are the most self-sufficient and easiest characters in solo play. But that is if you want to go for easy, but you ask most "fun", that is harder to answer and you probably get a different one from everybody. 1. SonjaNachtbringer. • 7 yr. ago • Edited 7 yr. ago.
B tier (all the average classes): Feca is fine, situationally really good with good mobility and survivability. Iop is also fine, in high B tier with pretty good mobility and survivability. Water iop can melee solo some dungeons with shield spam (and the appropriate item set) Enutrof: is really good sometimes and really bad sometimes, limited
depends on the kind of soloing you want to do. first of all you don't need friends to do content, there are random people around you playing the game willing to join activities (in some cases it can't be avoided in open world maps). you don't have to communicate or anything. secondly every class has viable builds for solo play, that is the point of the game. that every class can cover every
You mostly encounter them 1 by 1 or in small groups, which is suitable for a lot of weapons on many classes. In group events you mostly just tag them with aoes since they tend to die quickly. Leveling is almost trivially easy in GW2; you get XP from exploration, from crafting, from killing things, from doing events
Additionally, based off of a KDNF damage testing benchmark, M. Ranger and F. Ranger are the strongest subclasses of their respective class. Also the +10 weapon thing is completely wrong and has not been the case for years. Not a single %-based character needs to reinforce their weapon while leveling, only at end game.

My answer: yes. I'd lean more towards Guardian tbh, as they can fill more roles easier than the other two, but all are strong for solo play. Kamikae_Varluk. • 1 yr. ago. Do rev then go vindicator, use sigil of stamina, insta gib trash mobs on sky fall and instantly recharge endurance it’s super fun.
Mesmer has great tools for ranged combat, is super mobile and has the amazing portal that allows allies to move between 2 points (great to help others or yourself in jumping puzzles). Mesmer is one of the most unique classes in gw2 as an illusion magician and very fun but also very skill testing.
Each class is basically 3 classes packed into one. The "paladin" type class here which is Guardian can also become a hunter type with Dragon Hunter, or a mage type with Firebrand, or even a high mobility monk type with Willbender. And thief is only slightly harder for beginners. Later on every class becomes similar in difficulty.
